Winter Sports: Non-Fiction Auditory Comprehension

The Winter Olympics are coming!!!  I love to watch the Olympics on TV.  I am always amazed by the athletes!  My favorites to watch are anything with skiing, and also women's figure skating.  I always wish that I could have those kinds of skills!  I have the snow here, but definitely not the abilities.
In preparation for the Winter Olympics, I decided to look into some information about each of the sports that will be included in the 2014 Games.  I thought that my older students might have fun learning about the Winter Olympics while working on their auditory comprehension skills.  For this reason, I created Winter Sports: Non-Fiction Auditory Comprehension.

Here is a quick preview of what is included in this packet:

There are 18 cards that each include a non-fiction passage, and two or three auditory comprehension questions.  I also included a cute game board just for fun.

I had fun learning more about each event, and hope that you and your students will too!

You can get this packet HERE.  Thanks for checking it out!
